Financial Education

It's not uncommon for individuals to have little understanding of the basics of managing money. Aspira is experienced in providing workplace seminars to improve awareness and understanding of personal finances. Indeed we've been presenting to employees in the workplace as a volunteer under the Money Advice Service's "Making the most of your money" programme.

Our seminars will be designed within the context of your employee benefits package and can include a wide range of subjects, for example:

  • Budgeting - income and expenditure, general money management
  • Borrowing - mortgages, loans, credit cards and interest rates
  • Protection - what cover is needed and why
  • Saving and investing - types of savings and investment accounts, risk and return
  • Retirement planning - need for private pension saving, limited state benefits

For employees seeking advice about mortgages, Aspira will introduce them to mortgage specialist John Charcol for advice.  Initial consultations are usually free, subsequently a maximum fee of £250 will be charged for advice and support in arranging a mortgage.  Clients will always be notified prior to incurring any fee.

Please note that your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
