Group SIPP

A SIPP (self-invested personal pension) generally differs from a standard Group Personal Pension scheme in that it offers the widest range of investment options. Because self-investment is allowed, the employee benefits from added flexibility, whilst the employer can collect contributions on a group basis.

A Group SIPP can be an ideal solution for 'Executive' schemes, aimed at more senior staff, those with larger amounts to invest and particularly where there is an interest in the purchase of commercial property by company owners (although other scheme types, such as SSAS may be more appropriate). Group SIPP is a niche retirement planning vehicle and as such independent financial advice is vital.

Charges and costs

Because the charging structure and set-up and administration costs for a Group SIPP can vary widely, it pays to have the support of an experienced financial advisor such as Aspira when deciding on a scheme that's going to give you the best possible value.
